For Nii Odartey, creativity has always been at the heart of his work.
Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, Nii holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing from KAAF University College in Fetteh Kakraba, Ghana, and a Master of Arts in strategic communication and leadership from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Fla. Today, he resides in Pensacola, where he serves as operations and production manager of GCE Designs.
“What drew me to GCE was the mission. I’ve always enjoyed building systems that help team members do their best work,” said Nii. “Seeing people grow in confidence and in ability is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.”
With a background in film and photo production, Nii has brought stories to life across cultures and industries. He has worked on campaigns for companies and organizations like Puma, Right to Dream Football Academy, Universal Music Switzerland, ArtGrid and more. He also produced two music videos for Keznamdi’s album Blxxd & Fyah that went on to win the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
“Even though the setting [at GCE Designs] is a bit different from my previous background in filmmaking, the idea is the same—bringing people together and creating something meaningful that makes an impact.”
In his role at GCE Designs, Nii’s creative vision comes to life through custom apparel and promotional products. He blends creativity and design with production and purpose to create high-quality products that make an impact on the lives of individuals with disabilities and neurodivergences.
“What resonates with me from GCE’s mission is the focus on dignity and opportunity. I believe that good leadership should build or create environments that help people succeed, and I’ve seen this on a daily basis here at GCE Designs.”
